An AI brain is a place to organize knowledge for use with AI. HeyBrain brings documents and AI-assisted work into a workspace for individuals or teams. Start with material you are allowed to share, and check an answer against its evidence before relying on it. Adding a document does not automatically preserve the access rules of the system it came from.

HeyBrain gives a team a shared place to organize useful knowledge. Decide which documents belong in the workspace and who should have access before adding them. A manually uploaded file is a separate copy: changes to the original file, including its permissions, should not be assumed to update that copy.

HeyBrain has an MCP setup path for compatible AI clients. MCP lets a client work with tools and context exposed by a server; it does not make every conversation or every tool share one automatic memory. Check the setup instructions for your client and account, then test a small non-sensitive request before using company information.

AI governance starts with deciding what information may be added, who may use it and how results will be checked. For a HeyBrain pilot, use a small approved document set and test the access behavior your team needs. Ask for evidence covering permissions, agent access, revocation and audit coverage before treating any of those controls as a production security guarantee.

An enterprise knowledge workspace needs more than useful answers. Your evaluation should cover access controls, identity management, retention, deletion, provider terms and operational support. HeyBrain is a hosted service. Confirm the features and contractual commitments available for your account rather than assuming that every enterprise requirement is included in every plan.

HeyBrain and Obsidian fit different workflows. Obsidian is centered on notes stored in local files; HeyBrain provides a hosted workspace for documents and AI-assisted work. Compare where your information lives, how it is shared and which AI clients you use. A team should also test access and deletion behavior before choosing either workflow for sensitive information.

Google Drive and Notion connect today, alongside document uploads through the Library. A manual upload is a separate copy, not live synchronization or automatic inheritance of source permissions. Claude, Cursor and Codex are examples of compatible MCP clients; check the current setup and account availability.

Our published privacy policy states that HeyBrain does not use connected content to train AI models and that its managed model provider operates under no-training terms. Requests sent using your own provider key fall under your agreement with that provider. Other features may still use HeyBrain’s managed providers. Training and retention are separate: review the current privacy policy and the provider terms that apply to your account before adding sensitive information.

Treat the original document and a manually uploaded copy as separate access decisions. Check who can use the destination workspace before adding a file, and test with an intended reader and a restricted account. For agent access and audit records, confirm the available controls, coverage and revocation behavior for your account. Do not assume that a source permission change automatically changes an uploaded copy.
